Keynsham Winter Festival is on Saturday 28 November 2026, noon to 6pm, the town council confirms. Last year High Street and Temple Street shut 9am to 9pm.
Keynsham Winter Festival 2026 is on Saturday 28 November, from 12 noon to 6pm. Keynsham Town Council, which runs it, gives the date and times on its Winter Festival page and says it expects more than 5,000 people.
So yes, it is on this year. What the council has not yet published is the programme: which stalls, which acts, and what happens when. This page will be updated when it does.
What is confirmed for 2026
- Date: Saturday 28 November 2026.
- Times: 12 noon to 6pm.
- Organiser: Keynsham Town Council.
- Expected crowd: more than 5,000, in the council’s own estimate.
The only 2026 material the council has put out so far is aimed at businesses: gold, silver and bronze sponsorship packages, with interest to be registered by 30 September. Nothing on the page mentions an entry charge or tickets.
What is still to come
The programme and the event map. Last year the council published its Winter Festival event map on 28 October, a month before the day, so a similar date this year would be in keeping. We will add the stall, stage and family details here once they are out.
How last year’s festival ran
The 2025 festival was on Saturday 29 November, 12 noon to 6pm, according to the Avon and Somerset Police event listing. The 2026 date follows the same pattern: the last Saturday in November, with the same six hours. The town council closed the 2025 festival’s budget at its committee meeting on 4 March 2026, according to the minutes.
Road closures: last year’s order, and when this year’s should appear
B&NES Council has not yet published a traffic order for the 2026 festival. The two previous festivals used the same closures, which makes them a fair guide:
- High Street (the one-way section), from a point outside Smart Computers south to its junction with Bath Hill and Temple Street.
- Temple Street, from the roundabout outside Iceland south to its junction with Carpenters Lane.
Both were shut to vehicles from 9am to 9pm on the day, under order THTTC962 for 29 November 2025 and order THTTC907 for 30 November 2024. The closure runs three hours either side of the festival to allow for setting up and clearing away.
The signed diversions were:
- For High Street: Charlton Road, Ashton Way, Rock Road, Temple Street, Bath Hill.
- For Temple Street: Albert Road, Park Road, West View Road, Charlton Road, Ashton Way, Rock Road.
The 2025 order was published on 13 November and the 2024 one on 14 November, so this year’s should appear about two weeks before the festival. Our roadworks and travel page carries closures as they are published, and our parking page has the council car parks and charges.
Christmas in and around Bath
If you are planning more than one festive outing, the Bath Christmas Market runs from 26 November to 13 December, opening two days before Keynsham’s festival. Our Santa in Bath page includes the Keynsham grotto, and Bath’s Christmas lights page explains why the city has no switch-on ceremony this year.
Every fact on this page was checked on 9 October 2026 against Keynsham Town Council’s own pages, its minutes, the police event listing and B&NES Council’s traffic orders.
