Three Bath area displays are confirmed for Bonfire Night 2026 and two big ones are not. Dates, times, arrival slots and what is still unannounced, with sources.

Bonfire Night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. Three displays in the Bath and Keynsham area have confirmed dates, and the two the city asks about most, the Rotary display on the Rec and the Round Table display at Midsomer Norton, have not announced anything yet. Here is what is actually published, and what is not.

Confirmed: Avon Valley, Keynsham, 5, 6 and 7 November

Avon Valley Adventure Park on Pixash Lane, Keynsham runs its Firework Spectacular on Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026, 5pm to 9pm each night. This year’s show is called “Generation Re-Mix: 00s Pop vs K-Pop”, choreographed with fireworks, flames and lasers by Aardvark FX (Avon Valley).

Arrival is in timed intakes, which matters if you are driving:

  • Intake 1: 17:30 to 17:50
  • Intake 2: 17:50 to 18:10
  • Intake 3: 18:10 to 18:30
  • Intake 4: 18:30 to 18:50

The park aims to launch the fireworks at 7pm each night, though it says the pyrotechnicians make the final call on the evening based on safety.

Tickets are advance only and the park says the event is expected to sell out quickly. At the time of writing the page reads “tickets on sale soon”, so no price is published yet. If you are driving, the car parking ticket has to be bought at the same time as the event ticket, and the park asks people not to block Pixash Lane or the railway bridge instead. Other things it states plainly: card payments only on site, no cash; boots or wellies, because the display is on open farmland; no sparklers, bangers or fireworks brought in; no alcohol bought outside; and funfair rides from Kids World Funfair carry an extra charge. There is no bonfire, which the park says is deliberate, to avoid harming hedgehogs and other wildlife.

Confirmed: Bath Racecourse, Friday 6 November

Bath Racecourse on Lansdown, BA1 9BU, holds its Fireworks Night on Friday 6 November 2026. Its own key information block gives gates at 14:00, a start time of 17:00 and an end time of 18:30 (Bath Racecourse).

This year’s theme is traditional, with hot air balloons rising over the course before the main display. What the racecourse actually lists on the night is “traditional street food, hot drinks and a full bar”, not a funfair. The display can be watched from the grounds or from the rooftop garden, and hospitality packages with a private indoor space will be sold separately.

Tickets are not on sale yet. The racecourse is running a register-your- interest list and says signing up gives early access and “the chance to save up to 50% before tickets go on general release”, so the cheapest way in is to be on that list before the public on-sale.

The racecourse has a second night sky event a fortnight later. A Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer drone light show is booked for Saturday 21 November 2026, flying 600 drones, with the show expected to start between 17:00 and 17:15 and fairground rides, face painting and food stalls alongside it. Gates and finish times are still listed as TBA. Drone shows are weather-sensitive, so the racecourse has already named 22 and 23 November as contingency dates, and says tickets are non-refundable if it moves, with holders told by text and email (Bath Racecourse).

Confirmed date, unconfirmed venue: Batheaston, Saturday 7 November

The 23rd Bath (Avonvale) Scouts, who have run the Batheaston bonfire night for more than a decade, say they will be back on 7 November 2026, and their own words on the venue are “somewhere in the Batheaston village”, so the field is not settled yet (23rd Bath Scouts).

The event is a lantern glow, a large bonfire, a professional display, a bar and food. The gate prices still on that page are last year’s: child £5, adult £10, family £25 for two adults and up to three children, free for youth group members in uniform. Treat those as a guide until the 2026 page goes up.

The parking instruction on that page is worth reading before you set off: there is no parking in Northend village, marshals on the main road turn non-residents away from the Batch, and you are asked to use the two car parks in Batheaston or park on London Road and walk about ten minutes.

Not yet announced: Fireworks on the Rec

The Rotary Club of Bath’s charity display at the Recreation Ground has no 2026 date. Its ticket shop currently lists no upcoming events, and enquiries go to bathfireworks@gmail.com (Rotary Club of Bath ticketing).

The 2025 event is the guide to what to expect. It ran on Saturday 1 November 2025, at the Recreation Ground, Pulteney Mews, Bathwick, with gates at 4.30pm and the launch at 6pm, and finished at 7.30pm. Tickets covered seats in the west (Riverside) and north (Clubhouse) stands of the rugby stadium plus a standing area in front of the small pavilion (2025 event listing).

Three rules from last year that catch people out, and are unlikely to change: there are no tickets on the gate at all, only advance sales; there is no parking on site and no disabled parking; and no dogs except assistance dogs, and no sparklers. Temporary road closures ran from 4pm to 8pm in the city centre, with bus stop suspensions posted at each affected stop a week beforehand.

Last year tickets went on sale on 22 September with early bird discounts, so late September is when to look for the 2026 announcement.

Not yet announced: Midsomer Norton

The Mendip and District Round Table Fireworks Spectacular at Midsomer Norton Cricket Club, Withies Lane, Radstock BA3 2JE has not published a 2026 date. Its 2025 event ran on Saturday 8 November 2025 from 6pm to 9pm (Eventbrite listing). It is fireworks only, with no bonfire lit, and the club states there is no parking at the venue.

Getting there and back

Both confirmed Bath area displays are awkward by car. The racecourse sits at the top of Lansdown, and Avon Valley is on the Bath Road out of Keynsham with a timed arrival system that punishes late arrival.
